NaNoWriMo 2021: …and that’s a win!

NaNoWriMo Day 29

YAY! I won!

That’s the upside. I’m super proud of it.

The downside is, I haven’t written a word since last week. Between Thanksgiving and emergency surgery for our cat, Grace, and the subsequent medicine/cone/babysitting necessary to keep her recovery safe, I haven’t had a minute to sit and write.

I did some more plotting while she napped over the weekend, but that was as far as it went.

I have about another 30K-50K left to write in The Irish Project, and my hope is that I can knock out the first draft before the end of the year. I love this story, even though I know it has some issues that I need to address in my second draft. Currently, the goal is to have the second draft ready to edit before 3/31/2022.

If you’re participating in NaNoWriMo, I hope you’re exceeding your goals - and even if you’re not, I hope you’re proud of what you’ve accomplished! I am proud of you!

Total NaNoWriMo2021 Word Count: 50,113.

Keep an eye out here for updates about the project, as well as NaNo updates!
